Kitchen Prayers

I Notice that every time I have a Mountain of dishes my heart sinks....I roll my eye's at them or wish I could just snap my fingers like in "Mary Poppins" and they will magically wash, dry and put themselves away!!! But in that exact instant I start to feel the pressing in my spirit to take off my shoes and Surrender to that still small voice that is so inviting...and then with a deep breath, I close my eyes and start to Thank my Lord for the dishes in my sink, and then I start to thank him for the Hot water, & the money to pay for that Hot water, and then I open my eyes to a smaller pile of dishes and then I reflect on whoever the Lord puts on my heart at that very moment...The sound of the running water is soothing to my soul, I now look forward to washing Dishes just so I could spend some time with the Lord without interruptions...Chances are if you are my friend I have prayed for you while doing dishes:) We are all like dirty piled dishes sometimes that stink up a Kitchen! But if we allow God to Have His way with us and cleanse us from our own filth, we will SHINE in Newness, because we have been Changed:)

We call him Redeemer, Counselor, Almighty, Sovereign, Loyal, TrustWorthy, Savior, Companion, Confidant, Father, Friend, Teacher, Instructor, Physician, Healer, Miraculous, Wonderful, Glorious, Beautiful, Majestic, Messiah, King of Kings!!! He is all these things and more , but to me he has always been Abba (Daddy) and Precious Jesus:)
